BUILDING WITH A LONG-TERM HOUSING PERSPECTIVE

The Quebec Wood Export Bureau recently launched an initiative, supported by the Governments of Canada and Quebec, to develop improved housing solutions for individuals that have been displaced from their homes as a result of conflicts and natural disasters. These housing solutions are flexible, easy to set up and dismantle, and can withstand extreme winds and earthquakes. While these solutions were originally designed to be used as transitional shelters, they have been further developed to be part of a long-term housing solution.
